Championships: multi-phase tournaments
A championship is a series of linked tournaments: qualifiers, a second chance, the final. You decide the phases and who moves from one to the next; NEMIX prepares each phase’s channels on Discord and carries the right teams forward. It is the way to run a circuit with a single winner, instead of many separate nights.
How it works, in short
- 1From the Championships page you create the championship in three steps: mode, prizes, phases and conditions.
- 2NEMIX prepares the first phase on Discord, with its own registration channel: teams sign up as for a normal tournament.
- 3Each phase is played like a tournament, with its own Control room, codes and standings.
- 4At the end of a phase press Advance phase: the teams that meet the conditions move to the next phase. In the last phase first place wins.
1. Create the championship
Open Championships in the menu and press New championship. Creation has three steps, and what you type stays saved as a draft even if you close the window halfway.
Step 1: Info and mode
Enter the Championship name, pick Battle Royale and the Mode (Resurgence, Battle Royale or Matchpoint), the Format (Solo, Duo, Trio, Quad) and the matches: Total matches, Best ones count, Teams per lobby and Max lobbies. You can switch on KD balancing and the Automatic waiting list. In Matchpoint you also pick Points threshold and Win condition.
So you do not start from zero there are Ready-made templates: phases and conditions already written, which you then change in step 3.
| Template | Phases |
|---|---|
| Simple | 1 phase |
| Qualifiers and final | 2 phases |
| 3-phase championship | Qualifiers, Second chance, Final |
Step 2: Prizes
If the championship has a fee, switch on Championship with prizes: enter the Entry fee (0 means free), the Time to pay and the prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Fees are paid with Stripe, to the account linked in Payments. Otherwise leave everything off: Free championship.
Note
Fee and prizes can only be set by the owner of the Discord server: for staff and admins these fields stay switched off.
Step 3: Phases and conditions
Each phase has a Phase name, the Expected teams and the number of lobbies. With Add phase you add another, with Remove phase you remove it. Under each phase, except the last, you write the Advancement conditions: who advances and where they go.
A condition reads like a sentence: IF something happens, THEN the team goes somewhere. You add them with Add condition, and the Summary at the bottom tells you how many teams advance in total. Then press Create championship.
| IF… | It means |
|---|---|
| Position | Top N of the overall standings |
| Position per lobby | Top N of each lobby |
| Wildcard | The best of the teams placed in that position across lobbies |
| Top percentage | The top N% of the standings |
| Points threshold | Whoever goes over N points |
| Kills threshold | Whoever has at least N kills in total |
| Wins | Whoever has at least N wins |
| NEMIX Score | Whoever has a NEMIX Score above N |
| Elimination | The last N are eliminated |
| Matchpoint | Whoever reaches N points wins the phase |
THEN: Moves to the next phase, Goes to the final, Eliminated, Repechage or Playoff.
Heads up
Championship settings are chosen at creation and cannot be changed afterwards: from the championship, Settings shows them read-only. Check phases and conditions carefully before pressing Create championship.
2. The phases on Discord
As soon as you create the championship, the bot prepares the first phase on Discord: a category with the championship and phase name, a registration channel with the Create Ticket button and a channel for the staff. Teams can sign up right away, as for a normal tournament.
Each phase is a real tournament. In the championship, the phase’s Overview tab has the Open control room button: from there you open and close registrations, start, send codes and follow results as in any tournament.
Registrations, start, codes and results of each phase: Creating and running a tournament.3. Start and advance the championship
- 1From the championship list press Open, then Start championship: the championship goes from draft to running.
- 2When the current phase is over, press Advance phase. The bot applies the conditions, moves the right teams into the next phase and prepares its channels.
- 3The last phase has no conditions: first place in the standings wins the championship.
Tiebreakers and spots to fill
- Tiebreaker to decide: two or more teams are tied for the last advancing spot. The page asks Who wins the tiebreaker? and you choose with the team’s button.
- Next phase spots to fill: fewer teams advance than expected. With Bring back with wildcard you see the eliminated teams, with points, kills and KD, and with Bring back you put one back in play. Or Proceed anyway with the teams you have.
4. Follow the championship
At the top of the championship the Championship progress bar shows which phase you are in. Below, for each phase, there are six tabs.
- Overview: phase status, advancement conditions, outcome and the Open control room button.
- Teams: who plays the phase and where they come from, the previous phase or the repechage.
- Lobbies, Matches and Standings: the lobbies with their average KD, the matches played and the phase standings.
- Flow: the teams’ path phase by phase, who is in and who is out.

Frequently asked questions
Can I change the phases after creating the championship?
No: phases, conditions and settings are chosen at creation. If you need to change them, you delete the championship with **Delete** and **Delete forever**, and create it again.
Do teams have to sign up for every phase?
No. They sign up for the first phase; in the following phases they arrive on their own when you press **Advance phase**, if they meet the conditions.
What happens if two teams are tied on points?
If the tie is for the last advancing spot, the championship flags the tiebreaker and you decide who moves on.
Is a championship different from several tournaments on one server?
Yes. Several tournaments stay separate; in a championship the phases are linked and teams move from one to the next with the conditions you wrote.
